To overlook Christ's ministry as our great high priest would be to miss out on a truth of great comfort and encouragement. What a wonderful blessing to know that we have One who wholly shared our humanity and is fully acquainted with all our struggles. Because He too was tempted, just as we are yet without sin and because of what he endured and suffered He is perfectly qualified as our great High Priest both interceding as man for us and bringing to us the help we need to persevere in our heavenly calling. Through grasping His present and ongoing ministry as our great High Priest we do not take away from the finished work of His atonement, but show how He sympathetically administers to us the benefits of His once-for-all work.
