Great Sermon! btw, I heard all my life that John Hancock's prominent signature on the Declaration of Independence proved he was an arrogant man. And some time recently I read that yes, he did make his signature that large knowingly, and on purpose, and proudly too -- but it wasn't for himself. The Declaration had yet to be delivered to the Congress, and should the British intercept it before it could be, Hancock wanted them to know who to come for. The size was like a red flag to a bull. As a traitor to England, he knowingly signed his own death warrant. With purpose, he was willing to die alone for what he believed. And he was proud to let the Brits know it. Don't you sometimes wish Christians would be as arrogant?
