This is a study of Paul’s first epistle, the epistle to the Church at Thessalonica. This is the first epistle that Paul ever wrote. Thessalonica was a Roman Colony city, right in the heart of the Roman empire, with a rich, long and varied history. Here we turn our attention to the details of our gathering together with all the church age believers when Christ returns to take us to be forever with Him. This is the point that we receive our glorified bodies, that conforms us to Him in His glorified body. All those who have died “in Christ” will return, in their souls and spirits, to receive their glorified bodies, just before those who are alive receive theirs. Then we will all be caught up to meet our Lord in the air. Then we will all be with Him and with each other forever. We are told to comfort each other with these words of truth concerning those who have already died in Christ and our gathering together to Him and them. Here we look at the ministry of being a comfort to the body of Christ.
