We are told in Ezekiel that Satan first lived in the Holy Mountain of God. Mountain, in the Bible’s prophetic passages, refers to a king, kingdom or throne. There are two extremes when interpreting the prophetic symbols in the Bible. One is to ignore them because they are thought to be impossible to interpret (and those who say this are not sure of what they mean). The other extreme is to apply guesswork to speculate. Both extremes will no produce the God intended meaning of the prophetic passages. Balance must be utilized to understand the passages. The Bible does use many symbols but it is consistent in their application. Symbols are consistent in about ninety-five percent of the time throughout both the Old and New Testaments.
