Topic: This is one of the most neglected books of the bible. It seems to be a book that is hard to understand. We don't know who the author is, but we do know it was written for the instruction of the temple before 70 A.D. It is to the Jews what the book of Romans is to the Gentiles. Hebrews tells of sacrifices and rituals and exalts the sovereignty of Christ. It tells his relation to Moses and Abraham and all those people. This is why the Book of Hebrews is so great. Vs1: Therefore means what the author is getting ready to say is built upon what was just previously said. Because Christ is who He is, the beginning and the last, who laid the foundation of the earth, and made the heavens with His own hands, we need to pay attention here to what is being said. Because of Christ and His coming rulership, we should pay close attention. This is a few yrs before 70 AD, before the temple was destroyed. We should pay close attention to what was recently said about Christ and remember it – don't forget it. You don't want to miss the boat like a boat slips from its mooring. Vs2: if you put so much stock in what angels say, like the prophesies they relayed in the Old Testament to Moses, the word of salvation and the rejection of it Vs3: if you think about all that in the past, look what's going on today. People are performing miracles and confirming that Jesus is who He says He is. Vs4: not just the testimony of these people is important but he confirmed.....
