Review from last week: 1 Peter 3:17 "For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing."
It is better to suffer for doing well then to suffer for doing evil. So do good!
Sacrifice for the savior
a) Suffering verse 18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit"
Christ suffered for once for all
b) Substitution Not only the just but the unjust!
c) Submission Bring us - In classical Greek - is us to introduce someone to a king or leader. So Christ brings us to God Being put to death in the flesh - was obedient to God the father
d) Preached - In Greek this means public announcement verse19 "By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;" Christ went and announced to the fallen angels that he died on the cross and resurrection
e) Position verse 22 "Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him."
Christ is sitting in a place of authority and angels, authorities and powers are subject to him!
