Fallen man's life is pock-marked by sins of varying stripes, whose consequences and ultimate outcome is strife, grief, sickness and death.
Sins that occur in a fallen state pop up like poisonous mushrooms. They sprout randomly and only in the dark; and when light comes, they vanish.
The 'deeds/works of the flesh' are ugly chutes that grow under rocks; populated only by the most disgusting insects and creeping things.
