Moses was considered by the Jews as the greatest of all Jews because he alone spoke to God "face to face". Yet, the writer of Hebrews calls Jesus Christ greater than Moses because while Moses was the most faithful "in all God's house", Jesus was the builder of God's house. Therefore, the writer is saying that while Moses did great things, greater things does Christ do because He is the source of the power that allowed Moses to do what he did.
