The only true service to the Lord is what HE deems service. The only authentic worship is what he deems worship, no matter how well-intentioned the presumed worshiper may be.
Good intentions don't always produce God-honoring results. In fact, they can sometimes do the exact opposite. That is why I haven't titled the message, "How to evangelize" or "How to win souls," or "How to lead people to Christ."
We ought to be wary of a person who says they know how to lead people to Christ and they can train you to do the same. Be cautious of that sort of language and be careful of people who think language like that is appropriate.
The truth is this: I don't know how to lead people to Christ, and neither do you. Every person who comes to truly know Christ undergoes a new birth that happens supernaturally through the power of God and has nothing to do with you. There are only 2 people present at the moment of salvation: God and the repentant sinner that has been drawn by God's own power and Spirit. There might be lots of people around, but those are the only two people involved in this new birth experience.
The Lord saves whom He will. And he does it by the power of his own mighty hand.
With that said, the Lord has established his Ekklesia and sends us into the world with the message of good news. He wants to use you. Each and every single saved child of God. He wants to use you to advance his kingdom. He's looking for willing servants to spread the message of hope and truth and salvation. But the question is how? How should we evangelize?
In this message, we discuss some of the main principles of evangelism according to Scripture.
