I am encouraged I was extremely encouraged by this lesson. I liked how you reminded us that Jesus is the authority because He is judge. I just had a conversation with a good friend of mine last night about the opinion that because a person has letters behind their name our culture deems their findings as law. It's all the more important for the body to be equipped by the word. Thank you.

The Authority God's Word is the authority. And persons in a God-centered relationship, teach Scriptural Truths. They become credentialed, are earnest scholars and become experts in the field of theology through years of study. As they teach, they construct the teaching framework and lesson plan from these studies. Where they don't know something or they must inject best research supposition, they are intellectually honest with their students, congregants by stating what is opinion. I gladly mull over the words and opinions of teachers who are studied. I don't have to accept or believe each of their opines. I have respect for their efforts where they have provided illumination and inspiration. A teacher isn't necessarily someone with a slew of letters behind their names, those are SME, they may teach or not.
