The letter to the Romans is all about salvation and was written by Paul to clearly convey two things: (1) the first eleven chapters declare that every human being stands condemned in their own sinfulness, apart from the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ; (2) the remaining five chapters encourage those who have been saved (based on the mercies of God) to do the rational thing by dedicating their physical lives as living sacrifices in service to God. As living, holy sacrifices, each believer is not to seek to masquerade as the sinful children of this world order, but is to allow themselves to be transformed, through the renovation of their minds, into discerning children of God who follow His will because it is beneficial to them, well-pleasing in every way, and provides all that they need in their daily walk with their Savior.
