Hannah promised to give her son back to the Lord and Hannah made a Nazirite vow! Samuel would have been around three years old when he was dedicated to the Lord at Shiloh. Talk about a change up in Shiloh AND in Eli's house! We have every impression that Hannah and Elkanah leave Samuel there.
