Sexual immorality was common in the city of Corinth, and it was also an issue for the Church. We are always having to deal with this matter because it becomes, so quickly, a preoccupation when any one of us is not content with the Lord and the world as he has made it.
How should we understand our body? It is not a 'lost cause' but the arena of God's miraculous working; he is going to raise it from the dead. And then, we've been bought (with Christ's blood), so let it be the place where the glory of God's grace is revealed.
Can we be pure? Paul, and Christ, and the Spirit say "Yes!' So, may the Lord give us the true freedom that comes from hearing and trusting his word.
