BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! "This is He of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.' "I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water." JOHN 1:29-31
This morning we are going to be looking at a passage from John 1… part of John the Baptist's witness and revelation of the Christ. John the Baptist was just doing what he was told. He was preaching repentance in preparation of the coming Christ. He was preparing the way for Christ who come after him. As we plan to partake of the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper, our focus should also be on Christ who came to save us from our sins!
