God is under no obligation to man to explain all that He does. His word and truth do not depend upon our experience. But I don't think this is the only answer that we are given. God doesn't just tell us to be quiet and stop asking questions. Rather God also assures His children of His love in all situations. The verses that we consider today assure you that not only does God have a sovereign and eternal plan, but that it is a loving plan. All things do work together for our good. And in all things you are to be assured of God's love. You can fully rest in God's plan even though you know that often it means enduring much difficulty and suffering. Because nothing can separate us from the love of God, we are called to be more than conquerors. We will look at verses 35-39 in three parts – the reality of suffering, the victory in suffering, and the comfort in suffering.
