As we continue through the series on Luke and Acts we come to Luke chapter five where we meet the fisherman Simon Peter who will be commissioned to be a fisher of men. Pastor Stoos shows how this story of the miraculous catch of fish gives us a clear example of how important our obedience to Christ is, especially when it come to evangelism. Peter had every reason to doubt Christ's command to fish in deep water in the daytime after failing to catch a single fish all night. However, his simple obedience brought a great catch and reminds us that we can save no one in our own strength or power. We are to obey our Lord and preach the Gospel, trusting Him for the results! Pastor Stoos also shows how simple obedience to the simple commands of Christ will also keep us on the right path in many other areas of our lives, like tithing, church attendance and our marriages.
