If we, as Christians, are called to be faithful and true witnesses in the midst of a world filled with lies, deception, and manipulation through bribery, who must we look to as our example? This morning I want to point you to who Revelation 3:14 says is, “the Amen, the faithful and true witness…” --Jesus Christ. We are in a section of the gospel where we are entering a dark cloud and thunderous storm of human depravity. Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, has been betrayed into the hands of sinners. Jesus had already stated in John 3:19, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” His soul is troubled (John 12:27). The prince of the world has come (John 14:30). He has been arrested and taken to court. He is the Truth and will expose the darkness. The title of our message will be, “The Faithful and True Witness.” We considered 1) The Confusing Lies of the Enemy 2) The Clear Light of Truth 3) The Consuming Lusts of Man
