The descent continues further as He obediently subjects Himself to death, but not just any death, death on a cross. The cross was the vilest and most degrading form of execution. Yet, Christ willingly subjected Himself to humiliating torture, bearing the guilt of His people in every age and tribe, language and nation. How can we hold on to selfish ambition and conceit when Christ gave up so much for us?
