When Lefty stabbed Hefty in The Belly Judges 3:12-21Judges ch. 3 reminds us again of several important lessons. What an un-yielded life to the Lord can produce. What the effects of the lust of the flesh can do to a person's life. That our sin affects others and can have a far reaching impact on our family and nation. What you do does have an impact on other people. What example are you setting now in your life? chastisement or judgment was the reaction of God against the evil of His people. God is holy, dwelling in pure, righteous perfection. He cannot look upon evil, cannot allow sin or evil to dwell in His presence. For this reason, God is forced to judge or chastise any person and all people who commit evil, in particular His own people who profess to know Him. Ehud says, "I have a message from God for you king." He id left handed and removes the concealed dagger and thrusts it into the king's belly. It went so far that Eglon's fat totally engulfed the whole knife... handle and all. The Bible says the dirt came out. The dirt was the innards and excrement of the king. Ehud had been acting on divine command. The Lord raised him up for defeat of his enemy. Ehud was the executor but God was the judge.
