This is the focus of the message-paying attention to the island of hope in verse 10 in the midst of a sea of judgment. A Christian may be living in a nation under judgment-but he or she is not under divine judgment. The Christian had his Judgment Day at the cross. God makes a distinction between the righteous and the wicked. The challenge for the godly living in the pain of Isaiah 3 is to live counter culturally and shine as lights in the midst of a crooked and depraved generation.
