Dr. Davis in his class notes from RTS summed up the material of Isaiah 3 in this way. “How a Nation Knows it is under the Judgment of God….A nation knows it is under judgment by God by (1) The quality of its leaders (3:1-15) and (2) The Preoccupations of its women 3:16-4:1). This is the focus of the message-paying attention to the island of hope in verse 10 in the midst of a sea of judgment. A Christian may be living in a nation under judgment-but he or she is not under divine judgment. The Christian had his Judgment Day at the cross. God makes a distinction between the righteous and the wicked. The challenge for the godly living in the pain of Isaiah 3 is to live counter culturally and shine as lights in the midst of a crooked and depraved generation.

Revealing Sermon! Brother Rick gives us a penetrating look at Israel under judgment, which if we look at our nation today, we must accept the fact that we are under judgment also. The comparison is perfect in seeing our weak leadership and the vanity of much of our population. This is an outstanding sermon that should be preached in every church.
