This morning, the Lord helping us, we want to begin to look at our 4 point, namely that the Christian is instructed by the example of Christ and will imitate Christ.
Our text is the famous words of the apostle Peter in 1 Peter 2:21— For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps…
a. So as to save us, Christ suffered in our nature. b. Through suffering, He also sets us an example. c. Every Christian must follow Christ’s example. d. Particularly, we must imitate His meekness. e. Such as walk with Christ will cultivate meekness.
