A lot can be said about modern day disciples when compared with those in this passage of scripture. The crowds were eager and enthusiastic to hear God's word, they made it a priority. They were willing to obey him, even though they were weary from toiling all night, and yet the Lord blessed their willingness and sacrifice. They also answered the Lord's call when he called them to serve him, and he did many wonderful things with their lives. He can use us to do many wonderful things as well if we're willing to make serving him a priority in our lives.
