“ Excellent message ” I understand that this is not an easy passage to address, but Pastor Schortmann does an excellent job of emphasizing that God uses broken, undeserving people for his redemptive purposes. Why such a dark event was allowed to unfold in a situation like this is not easy to understand, but I believe that, as the sermon addresses, the horror of rape, the failure of Jacob as a father, the faults of Jacob's sons in seeking a vicious revenge, and ultimately in light of such a bleak situation how there is still grace and redemption. This is a hard passage of Scripture, but this sermon helps with some illumination.
