Is Christ alone enough? Paul's epistle to the Colossians was written to warn believers not to be deceived into thinking that in addition to Christ there was something else needed to make them spiritually complete. Paul warns against the dangers of ritualism, mysticism, and philosophy. Instead, he says, focus upon the Head of the Body in whom we are complete. Christ can meet every need of the human heart because He is both our Creator and Redeemer. The truth of our union with Christ in His body must, however, be applied practically if we are to know and experience the all-sufficiency of Christ in our lives.
