2 Peter 3:11-18_Study This is man's day of opportunity. God gives you, right now, the opportunity to invite Jesus Christ into your heart and into your life as your personal Savior. It is man's day of opportunity. When man's day comes to an end, there is another day. Yet the Bible says that it is appointed unto man once to die and after this the judgment. The Day of Judgment is going to come one of these days. The opportunity will be over, and you'll stand before God and you will give an account for what you did with His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Then God is going to have His day. The day of the Lord is going to come. That's really the substance of what these verses are talking about. As you wait for the Lord's return, are you ready for His call to move out, to move on to heaven? The Christian believer is without excuse when it comes to knowing the truth. God has given His Word, the Holy Bible, and the Holy Spirit to guide the believer into the truth. Once you know the truth, it is your duty to act upon it. The final thing you need to do before Jesus Christ comes again is give Him all the praise for saving you. If Jesus Christ were to return today, would you be ready? How sad it would be if you were caught unprepared. God wants you ready and has given you specific instructions on how you are to prepare yourself: You must remember that the Lord's longsuffering means salvation for more and more people. You must beware lest you be led into error. You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.
