The famous message, “The Eagle has landed” was broadcast from the Moon on the evening of 20 July, 1969.
The ‘Eagle' was a lunar module that had landed on the Moon with two astronauts inside, Mission Commander Neil Armstrong and Lunar Module pilot Buzz Aldrin.
Armstrong was the first human to set foot on the moon; Aldrin the second.
There is no doubt that this event represented a terrific moment in the history of the universe; in particular, man's exploration of God's mighty creation!
