Ironically, what you grab for greedily, is the thing you end up losing. This was true of the man in this story. Everything in which he found satisfaction, ended up being what he lost. He had no excuse because the means of rescue was with him all the time, yet his cravings would not permit him a reprieve. He was unable to rise from his comforts for long enough to lay hold of true, lasting riches. Rather, in craving time-bound luxury, he lost all luxury completely. He was in effect, craving hell. Do not do what he did; he said it for you himself.

Great Sermon! That episode is called "Tiny Monsters". The woman used her disabilities as a convenient cover. Her house was infested with black widow spiders, too. Thanks so much for this sermon.
