Tonight, we want to look at the attribute of God's love. It is always hard to try to explain God's love with words. I have a good brother in the Lord who knows I love him and I know he loves me. It's hard to explain the blessing of such love. However, the job of the preacher is to present the good news of the gospel, so I want to make an attempt of bringing a Bible story to life about the amazing love of God. I hope we all have had relationships where we knew or had a taste of true love. All of these glimpses of the love between a parent and child, husband and wife, or friend to friend pale in comparison to the breadth, length, depth, and height of the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Let's turn to 2 Samuel 9. We will be travelling back about 3,000 years in history to the times of King David. This man after God's own heart demonstrates to us the heart of God. The title to today's message will be "The Kindness of the King".
