When he was there, he saw that the city was full of idols, and he was deeply troubled over the condition of the hearts of the people. He went into the synagogue with Jews and reasoned or disputed with them. He reasoned with the God-fearing or devout people of the city. He went into the marketplace and spoke with whoever happened to be there. The gospel burned within him and evangelistic zeal. He wanted to see people saved.
