En el Salmo 69:21 David escribió: “Me pusieron además hiel por comida y en mi sed me dieron a beber vinagre” (La Septuaginta usa la misma palabra griega que traduce vinagre en el versículo 29). Jesús sabía que al decir “tengo sed” provocaría que los soldados le dieran algo de beber. Por supuesto, no lo hicieron conscientes de que iban a cumplir la profecía, menos aún por compasión.
