Joshua 22 records a misunderstanding which almost led to civil war amongst the tribes of Israel.
The tribes from the east of Jordan return back to their home after assisting with conquering the rest of the land of Canaan. Once there, they construct a large, impressive altar as a memorial to the Lord.
Upon hearing about this impressive structure, the rest of the children of Israel grow concerned that this is an act of treachery and idolatry against God. They seek an explanation, and narrowly avert war from breaking out.
In this Bible Study, we draw 7 lessons from this narrative and apply them to the believer's life and walk today.
