No church is a perfect church, and no church will be a perfect church as long as it has church members comprised of people in this fallen world. But the local church is not to resign to church members living in such a way to bring reproach upon the church. The Lord would have His churches address these people, confronting them, correcting them, and instructing them in right living. I would like us to consider this passage, 2 Thessalonians 3:3-15, by first focusing on the apostle’s instruction to this church in particular. But I would like us then consider what our passage informs us about the nature and ministry that should characterize every local New Testament church of Jesus Christ.
