Some piercings are fine; others seem to be an attack on the people who have them. When God gives us a beautiful, wonderful thing, as our human bodies, then we should take care of them. Some of the laws that God gives are ceremonial, some are civil, and some are moral. We are to honor God with our bodies. We should be concerned with how we can look and behave so that we can be good ambassadors for Christ. We need to learn how to be an effective witness in whatever culture God places us in. Whatever we do we need to seek the Glory of God. We should be concerned with how we look to the extent that we bring glory to God. We are to treat our bodies in a way that honors God. Ultimately, our bodies belong to God. There are a lot of things that are cultural that do not give God the glory.
