For this is a gracious thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. -1 Peter 2:19-21 ESV from 1 Peter 2:11-25

Great Sermon! Dear DJ, please remember women are responders. You may be looking too much at the specks of your wife's sins while missing the planks of your own.

Great Sermon! I went looking for sermons by this pastor because someone recently recommended i read " instruments in the hands of the redeemer". It is a very good book with much wisdom. I feel this pastor " gets it". So i listened to this sermon to be very spoken to about my situation. I am suffering by God's hand but have made it worse by sinful reactions to it. Very good sermon for those suffering unjustly!! This was very important for me to hear, the word injustice because people really do not cause all their problems. I have also seen all the dross in my heart that needs to go.

Great Sermon! Thank you for this message. I am in a very bad marriage and have been for over 25 years. My wife thinks she is saved, but she lies with such regularity that it has become pathological. She refuses to submit to me in any manner -- unless it is something she has already agreed to do. She is manipulative and vindictive. I could release myself from this marriage by filing for divorce. However, I am just now starting to realize that this may be God's way of molding and shaping me through suffering. Your message has helped me to be more determined than ever to endure a horrible situation and to trust God to handle things in His way and in His time.

Thank you Pastor Tripp! I was lead to your website by relatives who attend your church. Occasionally, I listen to your messages. Well, I had surgery a week ago and cannot go out for a while. I went to the 10th site and listened to this message and today the Lord spoke right to my heart. Thank you for allowing yourself to be His voice as you share His Word. May God bless you! Take care! Great Sermon! Excellent! This (summarized) quote from this sermon has really stuck with me... "Do you give yourself permission to act in a certain way, have attitudes you should not have, or say things you should not say and tell yourself that it is alright because God and people know your circumstances and... suffering...Jesus remained true to the Father and did not sin even through suffering." This was a great encouragement to me today.
