As Tony talked to Connor, a man later identified as Mike Dugas stormed accross the street breathing hatred for God and lies about His Word. When Tony told Mike that God saw his hatred as murder and that he was a murderer-at-heart, Mike exploded and attacked Tony. Mike Dugas punched Tony in the head several times after knocking him off the stool upon which he was standing. Tony and Kevin St. John (a fellow open-air preacher) were able to subdue Mike. When Tony and Kevin let Mike go, he ran away. Tony immediately got back on the stool and preached the gospel to the crowd that had gathered.
