Testosterone Gospel Part 5 “Strange Fire of Pope Francis”: Exposition of Galatians 2:1-10
1)Paul traveled to Jerusalem this second time to meet the Apostles. The guiding inner circle of Apostles, James, Peter, and John would now meet Paul. The Judaizers would have harassed this inner circle, the same way they questioned Paul on keeping the ceremonial Law. No one at this meeting compelled Titus to be circumcised! (Galatians 2:1-3; John Macarthur was right!)
2)False brethren (pseudadelphos) are always the most dangerous enemies in the visible Church. They always try and pervert the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, by adding to it! Whether it is the Vatican, Islam, Pharasaical Judaism, or Jesuits posing as Charismatic leaders, we must never compromise with false brethren. (Galatians 2:4,5; Article: Pope Charismatic Leaders)
3)The right hand of fellowship was extended to Paul because of the unity of the Gospel message. Churches are also to be unified by the true Gospel and not feelings or Political pursuits. Paul is told to remember the poor among the believers at Jerusalem. How blasphemous when Christians want to help everyone except their own Brothers and Sisters in Christ. (Galatians 2:6-10)
