We come now to the final chapter, chapter six, of the apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians, which, by the way, is more of that "solid food" or "meat" of the gospel.
The churches in Galatia had allowed a major problem to develop within them which Paul could not overlook.
After hearing and believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ taught to them by the apostle Paul himself, the Gentiles allowed false teachers to come into their churches.
The false teachers were Jews from Jerusalem who had heard and believed the gospel, yet they still insisted that in order to be genuinely saved, the Gentiles would have to first become Jews, be circumcised, and abide by the Mosaic Law.
Apparently the Jews were convincing in challenging Paul's authority and his gospel, and their arguments persuaded the Gentiles to consider abandoning the grace of gospel for the rituals and ceremonies of the Law; to become Jews and be circumcised.
So Paul, in this letter, condemned the legalistic teaching as a "distorted gospel," along with the Jews who taught it, saying, "let them be anathema", (let them be sent to hell.)
