Throughout the Book of Psalms God anointed the writers to pour out their hearts. It is very, very difficult to be angry when you know that God is at work. He is at work even when the circumstances seem very difficult. We are not to stop at our troubles. We are to give thanks and overcome. Jesus suffered more than anyone therefore our troubles should not hinder our worship of Jesus and what He has done. If we really believe that most of the world is on the broad road to Hell, it does not make since that Christians would want to be like the world. If we are in Christ, God says that we are His. We can draw close to God by giving thanks. The Bible does not say rejoice in our circumstances or rejoice in our troubles, but instead God's word says to rejoice in the Lord always. It is okay to feel tense, however we are not to let our tension prevent us from rejoicing in the Lord, always. We should pray continually, speaking to God as if He hears and is there, because He is. Jesus gave thanks in the midst of a difficult circumstance when He multiplied the 5 loaves and 2 fish; we should always be giving thanks as well.
