He is the desire of every longing eye. Men respect him, women adore. Approaching him is a most delightful woman, dressed in such attractive clothing that even the most wealthy in the audience stare. She is preparing herself to take on a new identity, both politically and personally. She is about to become the wife of the king. Her most desirable feature is her devoted spirit, as she abandons herself to her accomplished husband.
As the psalmist pens this psalm, his reason for inscribing verse 1 is obvious, "My heart is stirred by a noble theme..." May the Lord be pleased to stir your heart through this psalm as well.
