Creed/confession/catechism 'Scripture is to be its own interpreter...nothing can interpret Scripture but Scripture'(T Watson). Goal of any creed/confession/catechism is to give true meaning of Scripture by Scripture alone - may never be made the rule. Synods & councils may & have erred, & so must not be made rule of faith or practice, but used as helps.
Conclusion Many insist that Scripture as the word of God is the only perfect rule of faith. But what about practice?
