Worldly wisdom had infected the church of Jesus Christ in Corinth and was tearing it apart. The church was full of people the world would have called 'learned' but whose agenda would ultimately defile and destroy.
The same thing has been occurring in our own age in the mainline denominations for well over a hundred years. They are addicted to the fickle wisdom of the world, and reject the eternal wisdom of the Word.
Paul tells us that the solution to our addiction to worldliness is to become 'fools', but what does that mean?
