For the last two weeks we have been on mortifying or putting to death the sins of the flesh. These were the sins of the unregenerate, the sins that were a culmination of living to please ourselves. They were and are listed as major moral failures that enslave. It might be noted that these are so serious that in the letter to the Ephesians, Paul says that they are to not even be named once among you (Eph 5:3). Yet this is not the end of the matter. We are to also look to our heart and the attitudes of our heart in particular. We are to be continually be putting off these attitudes and putting on the new man. These attitudes of the heart are those that will lead us into more sin if we allow them. Join us today as we looking putting off the sins of our heart.
