I guess there would be one word that comes to mind when I read the Book of James and that word would be conduct.
James wants his readers to have Godly CONDUCT in an ungodly world.
James says be not Hearers of the Word alone but be doers of the Word.
In Chapter 4 James shows us a number of dangers for the Church.
It is good to be warned of dangers, because every church faces dangers. Some of the dangers that every Church faces are:
1. Disunity 2. Selfishness Prayer 3. Friendship with the World 4. Pride.
James expects that his readers will be unified people of prayer and that they will avoid being friends of the World. (James 4.4)
Many Churches today are hampered by the prayer life of their people.
What could this Church be if we would consistently pray for the ministry here?
This Church needs prayer like never before. We have enormous opportunities in the location we are in….But where there is opportunity there is opposition…
Where there is opportunities there is difficulties.
The difficulties for Christianity in this country are growing day by day and so we need to pray. We must pray.
