The Bible was not written by perfect people. The Bible was recorded by men who had a past, had failures, guilt, shame, and had not always believed. They had been proud, angry, and violent. They had been self-righteous and self-sufficient. They had lived as if they did not need God in their lives. They walked in darkness until they saw the light of the Lord Jesus Christ shine into their sinful hearts filled with unbelief. A day came when they believed, were changed, and lived a life pleasing unto the Lord. The same can be said of the author which we will be looking at today, John who is called Mark. This morning, the title will be “The Life of John Mark”. We will consider he is 1) a relative of Christians 2) a restored brother, 3) a recorder of the life of Jesus Christ.
