Today the Rev John Greer considers the life of John Newton. John Newton was once a dealer in slaves and without realising it he did not know he was a slave to sin. Later in his life John Newton called on the Lord to save him and his life became a great testimony to the saving grace of God. John Newton went on to write one of the most well known hymns, Amazing Grace. From the text in Ephesians we can see the deadness of man and through this sermon we see how that the Lord produces life in man.
