What are you on about? What is it that drives you and gives you purpose in life? This week, in Ephesians 3:1-13, we hear what it is that drives Paul the apostle– namely, the gospel. God has revealed to him the mystery of the gospel in Christ and nothing can now stop him preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ. This is what Paul is on about. It is what God is on about in Paul– bringing all things together in Christ. Have we been gripped by the gospel in this way? Have we so tasted of the unsearchable riches of Christ such that nothing else satisfies us any longer? The Lord is working out his eternal purpose in his Son and through the church today. Through us. We need not hesitate or hold back. In him, through faith, we have boldness and access with confidence to the Father, and to all the unsearchable riches of Christ.
