Our text is Job 1:1-2:10. According to Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and her five stages of grief, denial is often the first stage of grief. As we are developing the principles of sanctified grief, this week we'll be looking at Job's reaction to the loss of his 10 children and entire livelihood. We'll see that Job did not deny the reality of his situation, but immediately embraced it as part of God's will for his life. This is the righteous response that God requires of His people when they experience grief.
