No story, no apologetic argument, no doctrinal statement, no personal testimony is as captivating as a person who is him or her self captivated by Jesus Christ.
When every time they follow your gaze, your eyes are fixed on Jesus – when they cut you and you bleed Jesus, when they see you pressed and what oozes out of every pore is Jesus – it is hard not to wonder about such a wonderful Savior.
The most practical thing we can do is gaze by faith at the glory of God in Jesus, until we once again are ravished with the beauty of the Lord.
And one of the premiere venues through which our eyes are drawn to Jesus is the corporate worship of the people of God. David wants to "dwell in the house of the Lord" in order to "behold the beauty of the Lord." That's what the house of the Lord is all about – drawing our eyes to the Lord of the house!
