It would be all too easy to lose heart in this world. Even the church seems to be largely, morally
corrupt.
As we spoke about in the recent messages on the abolition of abortion, "At Least, Do No Harm"
and "Methods Matter," there should not be a conversation among church people, or politicians
who claim to be Christians, about when and under what circumstances it is okay to kill a baby,
and yet, those conversations are plentiful, in the church!
Man, I could lose heart. Not because of the evil of those in the world, but because of the evil
and blindness of those in the church in our time. It would be so nice if we could just be standing
against evil in the world, from those who do not claim to be believers.
It would be easy to lose heart. Easy to compromise! That's how the bar gets lowered for the
Christian in a culture. Slowly, and in group think. Corporate acceptance.
Where does God set the bar? That is the question we are supposed to be asking. |
