Pastor Curt exposits this passage of Scripture in its context. David has a zeal for the Holiness of God and is fully aware of the sinfulness of natural man. There are two requests in this psalm, one in verse 8 and 10. In verse 10, we have the first imprecatory prayer of the Psalter. Curt encourages believers to be fervent in prayer, to remember who God’s enemies are, and to trust in God who is our security. While the words of God’s enemies are unreliable and not to be trusted, we have a sure Word which can be trusted at all times. We must wholly lean on the Lord for our ultimate security in this world.
